For me, design is not a marathon, but a series of experiences. Many designers, including myself, are subjective individuals with their own perspectives and angles on creativity, aesthetics, and life. Many designers carry a subtle loneliness within, which transforms over time into a kind of inexplicable happiness.
Drifting through half a century, transitioning from youthful recklessness to a stubborn old man feels like just a snap of the fingers. Designers are always eager for new ideas while also wanting to sort out the old; in the process of organizing their past, they also seek to organize their lives. This book serves as an account of the first half of my life.
